The OGRE will take place on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Lake of the Ozarks, MO.


SUPPORT CREWS:  

ALL OGRE racers MUST have a Support Crew/Individual.  One Support Crew/Individual may elect to support multiple racers.

Your support crew/individuals will meet you at 3 Pit Stops located at approximately 50 miles, 87 miles, and 128 miles into the race.  For the safety of our racers, we ask support crews/individuals to keep off the course unless called to pick up their rider. 

Support crews/individuals will be given Pit Stop information and directions denoting where and when to meet their riders.  It would be a good idea for your support crew/individual to bring along a folding chair, snacks, personal music or book to read while waiting for their rider.

If your Support Crew would like to provide support for another racer, please Contact Us  and we will put you in touch with the racer requesting support.


RACER CHECK-IN: 
Friday, April 25, 2014 - Oz Cycles & Kayaks'  - 2107 Bagnell Dam Blvd, Suite 105, Lake Ozark, MO 65049 - 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm.  

Racers will receive their race number, support vehicle number, cue sheets, course outline, map 1, t-shirt at check-in and are required to sign a liability waiver.


PRE-RACE MEETING: 
Friday, April 25, 2014
 -Tan-Tar-A Resort - Hwy KK, Osage Beach, MO 65065 - Crystal Ballroom - 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm.  Racers and support crews are required to attend this pre-race briefing.


START & FINISH: 
Saturday, 
April 26, 2014

  • 6:00 am - Race Start - Big Surf Waterpark - 954 State Road Y, (Hwy 54 & State Road Y) Linn Creek, MO, 65052
  • 12:00 am - Race End (midnight , Saturday night) Course Closes.    The Race Finish will be at Oz Cycles in Lake Ozark, MO.   


We invite all racers and support crews/individuals (even if you are not able to finish) to join us at the Finish Line to cheer and support the efforts of those who do finish. 

You may set up your lawn chairs outside of Oz Cycles and Kayaks and hang out for the duration. Paul's Supermarket is right next door for food and goodies!

It is important to note that Lake Ozark, MO (finish line location) has an open container law and DOES NOT permit open alcohol containers outside of licensed alcohol establishments.    Please observe and respect these laws.



RACE LINE-UP:
Racers will be lined up at the Start based on estimated Average Speed over the 150+ miles. There will be signs marking the following Average Speeds: 14+ mph, 12+ mph, 10+ mph, and 8+ mph. You will be expected to place yourself in a realistic mph grouping.

$79/ person - OGRE ALUMNI (started the 2013 OGRE)  (ends on Jan 5th)

$89/ person - Early Registration (ends on Jan 26th)

$99/ person - Normal Registration (ends on March 23rd)

$109/ person - Late Registration (after March 23rd) 

** Registration CLOSES April 13th, 2014 or BEFORE if filled to capacity (300)

 

CANCELLATION:

  • $30 fee per person if on or before March 23rd
  • NO REFUNDS after March 23rd

PRIZES:

Prizes will be awarded 3 deep (1st, 2nd, & 3rd solos/teams/tandem) based on the number participating in each division on the day of the race. 

The following formula is applied: 
2 - 3 solos/teams/tandem participating in division --- Division 1st place awarded 
4 - 5 solos/teams/tandem participating in division --- Division 1st, 2nd places awarded
6 + solos/teams/tandem participating in division --- Division 1st , 2nd, & 3rd places awarded 

The TOP THREE OVERALL FINISHERS will receive a Bonk Hard Racing Discount Certificate (1st place  - 100%, 2nd place  -75%, and 3rd place - 50% *).

* All certificates for discounted entry are for the individual racer.  Certificates do not expire.

POST-RACE MEAL:  
ALL Riders are invited to help themselves to a Post-Race Meal of BBQ Chicken, BBQ Brisket, Cheesy Potatoes, and Baked Beans (provided by The Butcher Shop of Camdenton) at Oz Cycles beginning at
5:00 pm on Saturday.    Whether you finish the entire race or simply entered for part of the ride, come on over to Oz Cycles (finish line) for food and camaraderie!

Volunteering is an excellent way to get the feel and experience of a great race!  Perfect for your friends and family! 

Our events would not be possible without the help of volunteers.   All volunteers will receive a certificate for 50% off any Bonk Hard Racing event (which can be used by anyone!), a free race shirt, and a super fun time!
